Evan grinned at him, happy that Sam thought it was funny rather than offended. "Okay, so I'll trust you. And if your hand strays but you move it really fast, I might find it in my heart to forgive you."
He nodded with a smile, glad Sam had conceded. "Alright, that works. I guess I can wait. You're probably be 'serious' within the month," he said, teasingly. "I know how you are. You don't play games or fuck around so if you're not getting serious, you'll ditch the guy for something better."
He chuckled. "Bromance? What the hell? Anything with the term 'romance' in it at all does not apply to me. Anything." He paused and cleared his throat. "I made a deal. The best part is the terms are utterly ridiculous. It was just fun fucking with him and he bought it which tells more about him than he realizes." Evan was clearly proud of himself even if he didn't get into details right away. His little deal with John over Teagan was a bright, shining moment in his game of manipulation for Evan. There was so many reasons why John should have just punched him and told him to fuck off, but instead he'd agreed. He couldn't wait to - one day - tell Teagan and rub it in her face that she was nothing to John, her friend, the guy she defended over and over again. She was nothing.
