Demelza shook her head, still grinning. "Why does me being a lesbian make it worse, Zach? Even if I were straight, I wouldn't be hooking up with people at the club. It's bad for business and dangerous. You don't want to hear the horror stories I have about my fellow strippers who go home with the wrong guy," she said, her expression changing when she started to say it was dangerous. She didn't find the idea of it being dangerous or the stories she had heard funny or amusing.
"I don't give free lap dances normally, but I certainly will make an exception for you," she said with a smile. Her smile dropped and she sighed at his question. "I had to make more money. It was a job. People said I was pretty and sexy and I never minded being stared at. So, I just asked and I was hired on the spot. The money is good. The hours don't suck completely since I made my own hours, pretty much."
