Malachi chuckled. "Well, I wanted to make sure," he said with a smirk, taking a bite of the strawberry. After chewing and swallowing, he smiled at her. "I'm happy for later and we can always save some of the brownies for Truth, I promised they don't have anything extra in them. This time," he added teasingly.
"Okay then ditch his ass when he does embarrass you," he said with a smirk. "Teach him a lesson or at least make him go at it alone. Are you sure you're not just going as their babysitter or something?" he teased, the tone of his voice making it sure that his intention was clear. He had no problem with Katie, that was for sure. He really liked Katie, to be honest, while he never had gotten along with Cormac. He didn't understand how two smart, beautiful, vibrant woman could be roped into Cormac's little scheme.
