Malachi just nodded. Of course, she knew. It wasn't really that long before they'd both made their stance on actually wanting to be together rather than just have fun. He wouldn't have just stood around and be the other man with her.
When she stood up, he stood up as well, following her to the middle of the room to the blanket. Lowering himself onto the blanket, he leaned back, resting on his elbows as he looked at her. For some reason, it felt a bit strange. They knew what they wanted to do, but neither of them wanted to just lunge at the other either. He wanted to take his time, to make her comfortable with this. Reaching out with one hand, he brushed his fingers through her hair, guiding it over her shoulder gently. "Come here," he whispered softly, keeping his arms open for her.
