Cormac just rolled his eyes at Katie's attempt to try to make this better and make them calm down. It wasn't going to be that easy. If it'd been Katie, he'd be just as angry. In his mind, you didn't mess with his friends and have be okay with it. He wasn't going to celebrate anything. Lavender's husband tried to rape him. "Hey, Katie, do me a favor? Be quiet, please," he replied in a calmer tone. But his tone was still colored by his anger at the situation.
"Oh yeah, tell Cormac that," he said, turning his eyes back to Lavender. "Because it's always Cormac's fault. Because Cormac shouldn't be mad his friend was almost raped and hurt. Because I'm so wrong to want to defend my friend or protect my friend. I forgot how I'm not allowed to care, right? Or is it just care in the way you want me to, Lavender?" He took a deep breath and shook his head. "Your husband is safe. I'm not going to hurt him. Merlin, if I try I'd probably kill him by accident and I'm not fond of being locked away in Azkaban. He's not worth it."
