"Bored. Extremely bored," she replied, trying to keep the challenge out of her tone. Astoria just couldn't help herself sometimes. He was being nothing but polite but she got the feeling that he saw the world in black and white -- no shades of grey. To Astoria those were the most important. She thought it was lazy the way some people refused to empathize with others. She liked being right a lot more than was probably healthy but at least she attempted to understand others when it mattered.
Astoria shrugged. "It's interesting. I've never really…" she broke off. She'd never spoken to a muggle the way she'd spoken to him. She suddenly wondered what he'd say if he told her she was a witch? What would his reaction be?
