Meaghan took Lena's hand as they exited the restroom. After a messy breakfast of pancakes with sticky syrup, melted butter, blueberries and whipped cream, the little girl had been a downright mess. Meaghan hadn't minded cleaning her daughter up after she'd thoroughly enjoyed her breakfast, practically screaming with delight at the mere sight of it. Lena and Meaghan rarely got to do the little things during the season. Meaghan was always so busy with practice, the press and interviews, and social gatherings she couldn't get out of, so when she could carve out some time with her daughter, she did it eagerly and didn't look back. Lena just squealed with the delight of spending some time with her mother. Meaghan secretly hated leaving Lena with sitters and her parents so often, but she made a pact that she couldn't give up her life for her daughter entirely. She had to provide for Lena and being a Quidditch player paid very well, allowing her to give Lena nearly whatever her little heart desired and everything she needed.
This morning, they had indulged in a breakfast at a cafe in Hogsmeade and were now on their way to do some shopping together. Holding the little girl's hand, she asked her daughter with a sweet, motherly smile, "What do you want to do, Lena? Shop for some new cute robes? Look at the Quidditch supply store? Look at the frogs and owls at the pet store?"
Lena looked up at her mother with her big brown eyes and cute, chubby cherub face holding a huge smile. "Toys!" she exclaimed.
"Toys it is!" Meaghan agreed, swinging Lena's arm playfully as she began to led the way to the only toy store in Hogsmeade she knew. It catered to young witches and wizards not yet in Hogwarts. They had play wands, brooms, and other things that were charmed for safe use for little children. Meaghan had found quite a few toys for Lena there as well as in the muggle toy stores she sometimes ventured to for her daughter. There was nothing she wouldn't do for her daughter, including lowering herself to shopping with muggles for things Lena needed or wanted.
