Once Lavender had watched the spell work and knew it was safe for her to pass Nicodemus, she rushed into the front room to find a parchment and quill. Pulling out the desk drawer she let its contents fly all over the floor looking for what she needed. After picking up the quill, she quickly scribbled the words.
Octavius, Nic is here in Mal. I need help! Lav
She opened the window and leaned out to call to her owl. It swooped down seemingly out of nowhere to take her parchment. She told it where to go, that it was an emergency and off it went.
Deciding not to leave Malachi in the kitchen, she used a spell to levitate him onto the living room couch. She left him laying down on his back and placed a blanket over his still nude body to cover him up. Leaning into him close she kissed his cheek and whispered in his ear in a soft sad voice. āIām so sorry Mal. Hang in there, please...ā Her voice trailed off as the tears fell from her eyes. All she could do was wait for Octavius to hopefully come soon. She kept her wand tight in her hand in case the demon broke free from the spell. She waited for Octavius sitting beside Malachi on the floor, watching him closely and scared of what may or may not happen.
