Cormac wasn't sure about tonight. At first he'd thought this was just a joke and now walking up to Lavender as she waited for him, he wanted to laugh and tell her the joke's over. The joke wasn't even funny anymore. There were no such things as demons. Demons did not possess somebody's body and then demand souls from people they encountered. It was something that was made up and read about in horror stories. It was not the truth.
Walking up to her, he looked at her like he expected her to jump up, wave her hands, start laughing, and tell him it was a joke. But the look on her face told him she wouldn't. What the hell?
"Alright, so do we go arm-in-arm or something?" he asked as way of greeting.
