He should have never agreed to do as that damn woman asked. Unfortunately for him, his sort actually held to promises and deals. Unlike the mortals who said whatever they believed would get them what they wanted. Now, he had to behave himself till she lived up to her end of the bargain. It would be in her best interest if she did it as soon as possible. He paced around the cramped apartment above the shop like a caged animal, every so often grabbing something on a shelf to fling it against the wall. It helped to relieve some of the tension. He had told Lavender that he wouldn’t mess with the man’s shop. She didn’t say anything about his home.
“How can you live like this?” He asked allowed, speaking to the presence of Octavius in locked away deep in the subconscious. “Look at this place. Look at it! This is pathetic. You had such great dreams. You gave it all up for this? A shop that’s a joke, based on an art that most of these plebs don’t even appreciate. They can do magic but look down on powers that they can’t see and not all possess.!”
He laughed sardonically and shook his head. They were as ignorant as the non-magical mortals that they claimed to be better then. It was beautifully ironic in a way.
