Public/Private: Private
Summary: Mama Greengrass is hosting a tea party and Alette and Astoria meet.

Astoria smiled politely as the woman sitting next to her excused herself. She was probably off to gossip with her friends, as usually happened at these sort of events. As soon as her mother had told her about her idea to host a tea party in their parlor Astoria had attempted to come up with some excuse not to attend. But Helena wouldn't let either of her daughters run off so she was forced to show up and would most likely be there until the bitter end. Tea was beginning to lose its appeal for Astoria -- her cup sat on a table, half forgotten and already cold. Instead she nibbled on a crumpet, wondering where her sister had disappeared to and why Daphne hadn't taken her along.
It wouldn't do to come off as rude or antisocial, not when her own mother was hosting. It was that she disliked these sort of things, but she did believe in moderation. And that had flown out the window as soon as she'd told her family she quit her job. Helena had been dragging her everywhere she could and it was getting exhausting. Sighing, she set the crumpet down. It was useless to mope, she knew, but part of Astoria was still spoiled enough to complain to herself. Nevertheless, Astoria plastered on a smile. She smoothed out her skirt and got up to socialize.
