"Well damn," Cormac said with a laugh. "I just should just quit my job, shouldn't I?" It was a rhetorical question, of course. There was no way he'd quit his job. His job was well planned out so he could move up in the Ministry, in society. He may not want to be his father one day, but he certainly wanted to have his place in society with his money and options. "Of course I need beauty rest. Only so much of it can be natural," he said with a grin. "You should see me in the morning when I roll out of bed." There was implication in his words that he hadn't intended, but he didn't take it back either. He shrugged at her question. "I asked you to dinner, so I should pick up the tab, right? It's only fair. Hey, if you really want, maybe you can pick up the tab next time?" Of course, he wouldn't allow her to pay willingly next time either. He wasn't the type who allowed woman to pay for themselves, but definitely not pay for him as he had implied.
