Cormac laughed himself. "And yet the lady did not protest at all," he counted with a grin. He wasn't arguing, of course, but he did find it all amusing and teasing.
He grinned at Astoria. "Maybe. Okay. So how about we just leave it as I'll owl you and you can decide then?" he suggested, happily. He remembered that she said she wasn't going to make any more promises tonight, even though he seemed to be pushing for them. It wasn't his intention, but the idea of seeing her again thrilled him. He wanted to see her again and he wanted her to want to see him again. It wouldn't be quite as fun or interesting if she didn't desire to see him as much as she did her. Or worse, that she simply didn't desire him as much as he clearly found himself desiring her. And he did desire her. He wanted her a lot more than he had desired most, especially those who hadn't already made their own intentions clear.
