Astoria knew that she was getting far too comfortable, that this thing between them, whatever it was, had already gone much further than she had intended for the night. Yet there was something to be said for the relief she felt at the fact that they weren't arguing right now, at the evidence that she affected Cormac just as much. It almost felt as if she had regained her footing after stumbling. Astoria smiled against his skin as she found some mild reassurance.
The clearer her thoughts became, the more Astoria was aware that she needed to pull back. But she found it difficult to break away from his touch when she was enjoy it so much, when it was so relaxing. "I should move," she mumbled more to herself than to Cormac. It was really unfair that she couldn't get what she wanted right then. Finally, her hand slid down from his neck to his chest, as if poised to push herself away from him, but resting lightly against him instead. She did not move. Astoria wanted to indulge for just a moment longer. She took another deep breath and briefly wondered which soap or cologne it was that he used.
