Cormac felt her sigh against his skin, her breath hot and arousing. His hands still moved on their own accord, stroking her hair and back slowly. There was a softness that came from Astoria that he enjoyed, that he valued. The air between them had changed dramatically. Before the kiss, he knew there had been tension, but now it was just something else. There was tension still dancing between them, but it was the same kind. There was nothing negative about this, but perhaps his desire to continue and do more. She probably wouldn't appreciate the thoughts running through his head right now. He actually didn't appreciate them either, but only because they are so tempting and teasing.
He closed his eyes when she didn't reply. He could just be content like this. With no talking. Normally, it occurred to him, this is what he'd prefer. But with Astoria, he liked their teasing and banter. He liked hearing what she had to say, what was on her mind. She had interesting and intriguing says to say and kept him on his tongues. He wasn't sure he was ready to let that go. He remained silent; he was just taking in it all in. He was filling his nostril with her feminine scent that was strictly Astoria, filling himself with her touch that he wasn't sure how long he'd have it for.
