Cormac nodded, agreeing and trying to keep his mouth shut about it. They had come to an agreement and he was still determined to try to keep up the moments. It was really hard sometimes with his mouth and attitude. "There are," he said, wondering what else she thought. The statement just felt hallow, like she was biting back what she really wanted to say. He lifted his glass and took a drink, allowing it to be an excuse not to say anything more.
He grinned at her laughter, having no idea what was really behind it. He didn't even care now if she was laughing at him. "Why thank you, Astoria," he replied to the compliment with a genuine smile. Compliments from her always meant something more to him and he had no idea why. Maybe because they were sometimes the last thing he expected to come out of her mouth. His hand reached up and he gently brushed his thumb over her lips before pulling it back again. "You have a beautiful smile."
