Astoria smiled. He knew exactly what to say to a woman, didn't he? The warmth radiating from his hand was nice. She liked his touch and the way he brushed her hair back. The thought made her feel ridiculous but deep down she didn't really mind.
She didn't miss Cormac's frown as she pulled away. Astoria didn't want to see him frown but she wouldn't continue to act so inappropriately in a restaurant, not when she knew it would make her uncomfortable in the end. She raised a brow in surprise when he didn't move his seat back and instead seemed to make himself comfortable there. She couldn't decide whether she was amused or frustrated by his stubbornness. "I think I like my wine too much for that," Astoria replied with a grin while reaching for her glass and taking a sip for good measure.
