"I'm not! I'm just… careful about who I trust." Astoria smiled. "Just skeptical, maybe?" Did that even make a difference?
Astoria looked away when he did it again. "Stop it," she insisted with a laugh before finally turning back to him. She shook her head at his question. "Not interesting, just childish," she admitted. But she couldn't help it. She'd tried being a better person and each time she had failed. "Not more horrible than killing me," she insisted, laughing again. She waited for his response, wondering what his answer would be. Astoria didn't think he'd disagree and she wasn't disappointed. She smiled at his answer. "That's good to hear. For a moment I thought the urge to disagree with me would be too strong," she said teasingly.
She shook her head. "Everybody likes winning, remember?"
