Astoria nodded. "Yes, you are." Or at least he seemed as if he was used to getting what he wanted.
"Stop staring at me like that," she said amusedly in response to his expression. "Thirty years? That's a long time." Astoria laughed a little at the thought. She still found the entire scenario hilarious. "Well, thank you for sparing me. Though I'm not sure I could ever survive you not speaking to me," she joked. Astoria grinned. "I'm sure your parents would understand. Maybe? Or we could just… not end up hating each other? I think that's the better plan," she suggested as if it were an epiphany.
"I like the sound of that," Astoria replied and smiled smugly. She knew he didn't mean it but she wasn't going to give up. "Whatever I say, indeed."
