"Oh, I'm sure. You must be completely spoiled," Astoria teased. Not that she wasn't, but she thought it must have been nice to be an only child and be able to get whatever he wanted.
She raised an eyebrow at his comment. "Let's hope not," she said simply. Astoria laughed at the image he painted. "Oh no, I'm sure you wouldn't find it funny if it actually did happen. Actually, I think that's what might get me killed in that situation." She imagined that the look on his face would be priceless. Still, she couldn't imagine herself being that cruel unless it was a very bad situation. Astoria hoped that if they ever made it to Paris together that it would go better than their predictions.
Astoria stared at him expectantly, a smile still tugging at her lips. "But nothing. You'll see."
