Astoria shrugged. "Then that's probably why we've had different experiences." It wasn't that Astoria only associated with her own class, but she did spend a lot of time around it. It was what was expected of her and Astoria tried to keep her parents happy because she knew that in the end, they weren't really asking for much.
"I think that is something I can agree with, yes. I just don't feel that I am in the position to decide whether that makes someone a good person or a bad person. Everyone has a different reason for what they do." Some people chose that path because they were greedy or awful but she knew that other people felt as if they didn't have a choice. When he told her what he'd thought of her at first she looked surprised for a moment. "Harp? Really?" Astoria couldn't help but laugh despite the fact that they were having a serious conversation. She just couldn't picture herself as the type. "You really did have me all wrong," she said, still amused. She sobered up at his next comment, however. "I think they could too. It's just that some people give up," she replied quietly. "Yes, you're allowed your opinion, as am I," Astoria agreed.
"I don't think I've the patience for that," she said, laughing too. "I like to skip to the good part."
