Astoria laughed. "Oh no, you don't allow me to do anything. Just make sure you remember that."
"We have two very different ways of viewing the world, don't we?" It didn't bother her very much. In fact, it amused her that they could get along so well when they had very different opinions of things. "But men can't do anything right, remember?" Astoria said teasingly. "I can understand that, but I think it's just people in general, not specifically women." Everyone was capable of being bitter and negative. "You know, some women have reasons for not sharing their opinion. Especially in our society. I'm sure they think they are being proper or they're afraid their opinion will cause people to dislike them. Or maybe they just think their opinions don't count." Astoria shrugged. Perhaps it was because she knew a different side to the type of women he spoke of. She simply couldn't allow herself to judge them too harshly when she understood them perfectly and had been guilty of such things herself.
Astoria smiled. "Don't forget I still have to make it through dessert." She thought his answer to her question made sense. "I'd say that's why I'm here as well."
She shook her head. "I've seen his flat when he's not expecting company. It's dreadful. Although now that you mention it, it's possible he does it because he knows I'll clean up after him." She grinned at the thought. It was ridiculous. Astoria did laugh at his admission that he was still a handful. "I don't know. Your nannies would probably disagree," she told him.
