Cormac smirked. He enjoyed her confidence. "Well I will allow you to believe that," he said agreeably.
He snorted. "Irrationality is in the eye of the beholder. To me, it was rational to try to defend my friend who I thought you were insulting. Of course, it was a mistake on my part, but I cannot change that," he said with a shrug. "I don't. I don't seem to like women who harp on someone, or who act like a man can do nothing right. And then, there's the women who don't say anything and that annoys me. I mean, everyone has an opinion, so why can't they say theirs?"
"Well, I just wanted to make sure that you didn't ditch me for the threat of a surprise," he said with a small smile. He thought for a second, not sure what to say to that. What was the reason she was giving him a second chance and was sitting across from him? He really didn't know. He wasn't sure that was an appropriate answer to her, or worse that he was there because he found her beautiful, interesting, and intriguing. "The reason for us to be here? Maybe it's that we were proven wrong and wanted to make sure. I, for one, am interested in getting to know you better which is why I'm here."
He laughed. "You'd be surprised. For all you know, your brother has learned the charms and tricks as I have," he said with a smile. He nodded. "I'm still a handful, if I was honest probably. I don't think there's anything really wrong with it... Well, at least, not much."
