Astoria shrugged. "It's a better word than idiot, isn't it?" She laughed. She wasn't actually calling him an idiot and she hoped he realized that. "Actually, I think it's because of the things you say. You contradict yourself a lot. But it's a term of endearment coming from me," she insisted with a grin.
She laughed again, amused by his teasing. "Enemy might have been strong word. But I really did dislike you, you know. I don't know why I even cared about the things you said. But I think you were close to devil's spawn, yes," she teased. "Relish the moment because I'll never repeat the words now," Astoria replied, grinning. That was probably a lie. She was sure of it. She was surprised when his hand reached out for hers but did not push it away. Instead Astoria turned her hand to clasp his. She smiled in return. "It's always good to hear it, though," she said genuinely, trying to ignore whatever it was that she felt at the contact. Deep down wasn't entirely comfortable with the effect he had on her. Although it didn't show it made her uneasy. Because he was charming and it was actually working on her.
"Oh, now I'm disappointed," she said with a pout although she couldn't hold the expression for long. "You should be proud," Astoria teased. "At least you aren't relying on your mother to clean your clothes," she responded, laughing as well.
