Astoria shook her head. "Don't be silly. It's nothing to apologize for." It had been a mistake on her part, inappropriate even, but she found herself not caring very much. If that was what changed his opinion of her then perhaps he wasn't the person she thought after all. She smiled reassuringly.
"Quite the miracle, I know," she replied, laughing. He had earned it. "I'd never put myself through the torture," she teased. "If I didn't like you I wouldn't speak to you unless it was to mock you for your misfortunes," she said, recalling the kissing booth. Astoria had the grace to feel sheepish but that didn't mean she didn't recognize her vindictive streak.
"Big difference, I know," she said with a grin. "The night is still young," Astoria promised. She didn't like causing scenes but she had never been the best at controlling her emotions. "The wine would stain your clothes though. It'd be a tragedy." Especially since he looked quite good.
