"There's nothing wrong with that," she said, still smiling.
Astoria shook her head. She debated moving on from the conversation and ignoring his question. "Those men you disagree with," she replied simply. When he thanked her she smiled. He could say ridiculous things and yet be kind as well. "You got your second chance all on your own." There was no need to thank her. "I doubt you will and I hope I don't either," she said sincerely in return. They could be friends, at the very least.
Astoria shrugged. There were a lot of things she was insecure about, but she wouldn't admit to them either. "There's acknowledging what you are good at and then there is distastefully bragging about it." She didn't consider knowing what one was good at arrogance, per se, though it could definitely lead to it. "But, I haven't thrown my drink in your face which means I can still stand your company," she said teasingly. It was an attempt to lighten the mood.
