Astoria shrugged. "It's rewarding once everything comes together. Besides, I like figuring out color combinations and which plate settings would be best." She couldn't help but laugh a little. She was being serious but knew that Cormac probably wouldn't understand.
She shook her head. "I'm afraid I can't give you any names. Secrets, remember?" She didn't particularly like the idea of sharing those particulars with Cormac. Her personal life was just that -- personal. "It depends on what you mean by conflict. I'm not very good with arguments I'm afraid but no, not everyone can agree all the time," Astoria assented. However, that didn't mean she had to like conflict. "Am I that much of a surprise?" she asked, genuinely curious. She had always figured she was easy to figure out but that was from people who had known her all her life. Cormac was different. He was essentially a stranger.
Astoria laughed. "No, it's definitely stubborn." She shrugged at his question. It was interesting that he didn't understand. To Astoria it was very clear. "There is a fine line between confidence and arrogance," she replied. "A confident man is quite… attractive. Sexy, even," she continued, smiling momentarily at his choice of words. "But an arrogant man? Not so much. I've yet to figure out which one you are," she mused. She couldn't help but study him and wait for his reaction. She was taken him up on his challenge and she wanted to know whether or not he realized it. However, she did believe in her words. Astoria didn't like arrogant men -- it was exactly why she had disliked Cormac so much in the first place, because she had thought him the epitome of it.
