Cormac laughed and smirk. "It's not so much difficult as tiring," he said with amusement. "Oh yes, women love to organize parties, galas, events of some kind. I watch my mother at times and have no idea where she has the patience for any of it. I'd get bored after the first day of planning and sometimes it takes her months to plan one single night. How is that even worth it?" He grinned and shook his head.
"Really? Well, I'd like to meet those men, I think. Not to change my own mind, but because I think I'd rather know who I was secretly disagreeing with," he said, "Of course it's more interesting this way. In fact, life is pretty boring when everyone gets along all the time about everything in my opinion. Some conflict never hurt anyone as long as it's harmless. I mean, I don't support war or killing or hexing people who look at you wrong, but still, standing up for your opinions can cause conflict if someone doesn't agree with you. Makes life more interesting to never know what you'll get." He gestured with his hand at her, indicating that he didn't know what he was going to get when it came to her. And in all honesty, he didn't mean it as an insult. He liked the surprise and intrigue that came from Astoria.
He smirked. "Not stubborn, confident. Strong-willed, even," he said jokingly. "How is that not a compliment?" he asked, a little confused. "I just said I had a high opinion of you. And there's nothing wrong with self-confidence, Astoria. In fact, confidence is sexy and alluring."
