Demelza didn't smile anymore. She just looked at the older woman with a solemn expression. "I wouldn't," she said, softly, "I wouldn't ask him about it. I wouldn't act like I know a damned thing. Trust me, you'll be happier that way and he'll be safer that way. Ask other people. You'll get it out of someone else. Then you can tell him not 'what is it' but 'I know' instead."
