Mandy's words were but a whisper to her as Tracey's thoughts took over her conscious thinking. She knew she had to tell her mother about Theo. She knew she had to talk to Zach.
"I don't know," Tracey finally replied, looking exhausted but surprisingly calm. It didn't matter that Mandy was shouting at her, that the girl was blaming her for things. She knew there were important things that mattered right now. "Maybe we both have something to learn from this," she said, again mostly speaking about herself because she certainly did. She knew that after this, she's going straight to her mother and telling her that she never did love Theo, that the whole marriage was a scam. And after that, sure her mother would be hysterical, but that'll pass. In that mean time, she'll go to Zach, and finally maybe admit something she knew she was feeling for a while now. All of it was scary, but she owed it to them. She did.
