Mandy blinked at Tracey's words. Her mother did not ruin her family's name. She couldn't believe the woman had said that. How dare she? Just because her mother had decided to live with a muggle rather than go back to her pureblood family? What right did Tracey have to say that? Any of that? She just stared at her until suddenly she felt tears of anger filling in her eyes.
"You're... a... a..." she fumed, not forming a sentence. "My mother did not ruin her family or destroy their name! She was loyal to her family until they decide that their happiness was worth more than their only daughter's! It was the choice she refused to make for her daughter! What the heck is your problem anyway? You're pathetic! You think family is everything, which it is, but it's only the family that will stick by you! If they're going to look down on your for finding love, for marrying for love, for living with someone you love, then it's their fault and not yours."
She looked at her with tears now mixed with sadness with the anger. "You deserve better than that, Miss Davis. You really deserve better than that."
