Mandy let out a forced half-laugh. It was more of a sound of condescending than anything. "Oh, but I was at the Caribbean the weekend before last. With you. At the wedding," she informed her, but true to her word she kept Zach out of it. She didn't mention Zach being there with her, if Tracey did, she'd avoid answering for Zach's sake since he requested it. Not that she was happy about being told what to do. Anyway, it was clear they had plenty of dislike between them without bringing up his and Theo's name. "So maybe it's not as infrequent as you think."
She kept her eyes on the woman's face, not allowing herself to look at what was probably an expensive set of robes compared to her normal, economical ones. They weren't cheap and they were tailored, but it didn't mean they compared to Tracey's especially when the woman seemed to be all about status and money. It really pained her to know that her smart, funny, honest friend had fallen for someone all about status and money. It was clear he wasn't; not if he cleared out pens of dragon dung and hung out with the likes of her who just screamed normal.
