Malachi sighed. He knew it made sense to her. To him, it didn't. Who was he to sit behind a desk? Who was he to act like he could learn again and start over? His whole life had been art. He'd done well at Hogwarts - even very well - but it had been nature, not effort. Art was nature, not effort. He'd barely put any effort anything like this for his whole life. Now he was going to have a family and start over? Was that even possible? Would Lavender be okay with it? To get a Ministry job and go through the training, he'd have to quit the gallery in the mid-time and not make the same amount. They'd lose income at least temporarily.
He ran his hand through his hair and looked at Thalia. "Whatever I do - if anything - I have decide fast and get Lavender behind me. I have a feeling she might not be keen on the idea of me quitting the gallery which she knows I love."
