The reception tent was done in a more natural and rustic style with wooden beams draped in white fabric. There were lit twig balls and hanging stars everywhere that made the tent glow. There was a band and an area for dancing just in front. Outside the tent were lit tiki torches with little clutters of sitting areas for people to gather on the beach.
The dinner was just wrapping up when Lavender and Malachi got up from their table to the front where the band was to quickly address everyone and make an announcement. "Hey guys. We just wanted to say thank you to everyone for coming out tonight. It means so much to us to be able to share this with our friends . We are going to spare you from any more sappy speeches. You got enough from our vows I think. But I do want to thank my beautiful bridesmaids Katie and Cormac," she laughed glancing over at Cormac. "Thank you for doing this on such short notice. But most of all, thank you for always being there for me. Honestly, I don't know where I'd be without you two." She got a little teary eyed when she spoke. There was so much more she could and wanted to say, but they knew and she really didn't want to start bailing, being as emotional as she was. "And Octavius. Thank you for lending me your arm today to walk me down the aisle. I've always been a spiritual adviser to me but most of all, a great friend." She couldn't have thought of anyone better since she could no longer have her own father give her away. She looked over at Malachi to let him have a chance to speak now.
