"I know!" Tracey exclaimed, voice a bit louder than usual, sounding as frustrated as Zach did. "I know I'm not making sense. I know that it's not my fault, but everything's happening too fast," she said, a bit more calmed down, as she took another deep breath. She looked at Zach then, expression pleading him to understand her. A part of her knew he did. After all, he'd stuck around her in her most insensible decisions.
"They always know he's away on business a lot. And I've gone with others to events like these. I just didn't want to come alone and be forced to mingle with other people. But if you don't want to come, then I won't force you," Tracey explained, coming closer to him. She wanted him there for her own reasons. But she'd understand if he didn't want to go.
