Cormac looked down for a moment, trying to hold back a comment. "People say that," he said finally looking up at her. He forced a smile this time, not wanting her to think he was a complete jerk. It's not either of their faults he didn't like Wood.
He didn't resist when she took his arm. "Nah, you haven't met them. You've help them out too," he said, "It has nothing to do with me." He wanted to add he was probably a bad friend right now, not getting over what happened. Katie was a good friend for being forgiving and accepting it was Lavender's choice. But he couldn't get past it. Helping out at the festival, paying for the band, and donating was the least he could do right now.
