Cormac was almost happy to see her smile and laugh. Maybe in her own way she was laughing at him, but he didn't care. It charming to see her loosen up. At least she wasn't a prude who just ran away.
When she stepped back, it was even clearer that he'd won. Her voice was almost nice? Was she actually being friendly? He had to admit he liked her better than way when they were insulting each other. "I am bold, but I think that's just who I am rather than the house I was in. I'd ask what house you were in, but I don't think you'd tell me if I did," he said, still teasing her.
Cormac's smirk morphed into something more friendly, something more of a genuine smile. "It's for a good cause," he said, which was truly the only reason he was doing it. "And we thank you for your donation."
