Looking between the window and the man, Ismene squared her shoulders and looked at him, "I lied. I have a proposition to make you, Mr. Pepper. I'll buy your entire stock for whole price, on the condition that you do not ask questions and that you do not make assumptions."
She had the faintest feeling that he would ask questions and that he would make assumptions, but that could all be taken in stride.
