Mandy dressed in muggle jeans and a blouse - a completely casual outfit for hanging out with her friend. She hadn't actually seen Zacharias outside the sanctuary and the gala and wasn't sure what the evening called for. She was more than aware it wasn't a date, but that didn't mean anything. She didn't really go out with friends to know what was expected. After spending most of the early part of the day with her parents, she was feeling good. She had a place of zucchini cookies stacked on top of a container of banana nut bread that her mother insisted on sending home with her. Even though she'd requested some zucchini cookies, her parents didn't know that it was because she was planning on sharing them with her friend, so her mother had just done her normal thing of giving Mandy even more food to bring home. Like most mothers, Mandy's mother had convinced herself that Mandy wasn't eating enough or right so she tried to give Mandy food to take home with her every time she stopped by. Last time, Mandy had left with a whole vegetarian lasagna that she knew her mother had made just so she could take it home since her father was a carnivore and with her out of the house, her mother had taken back to her carnivorous habits.
Mandy had to find the village where Zacharias lived the old fashioned way, word of mouth, a map, and then luck. Once she was at the village, it was actually easy enough to find out where the "Smith residence" was. As she walked up the path, carrying the food, she was a bit surprised. It wasn't terribly big, and in her mind, it was almost exactly the opposite of what she expected anyone in the pureblood elite to live. The house was almost quaint or cute. It was two-story, but extravagant. Actually the only thing that might seem lavish was the large yard. For some reason, she adored that part of it all immediately. Zacharias truly did love nature. She wished she could afford her own place like this, but she was content in her one-bedroom flat in the city.
Scanning the property, she noticed Zacharias. And his bull dog Jack that he'd told her about. Grinning, she stayed back by the edge of the property as she called to him. "Hey, Zach! Somehow I think you chose to move here for the large yard and not the house or village nearby."
