Re: Gryffindor Table (open)
Penpals? Well, Dumbledore was the smartest person he had ever met so that had to mean that he knew what he was doing right? But Neville was so worried that he would slip up and say something to reveal who he was. The point of this was to keep things a secret right? This was not going to be easy for him. Besides, what if he got stuck writing to, say SNAPE! That would be the scariest thing ever.
Looking around, away from the faces that he was used to seeing sitting around the Gryffindor table, he spotted a girl sitting diagonal from him. Her face was so familiar, but why? Then he remembered. She was Harry's mum! He had seen her picture in their dorm room. Biting his lower lip, he decided to start a conversation. What was the worst she could do? Snub him? Smiling, he nodded to her. "Hello there. I don't suppose that you guys have done something like this before have you?" But then, if it was some kind of tradition, Hermione would have known about it and told them. And Dumbledore would still have been doing it. Neville knew that it probably had something to do with their arrival.
