She was okay. She was fine. Deep breath. Out with the bad, in with the good. Zap stood, then brushed her teeth. If it weren't for her fluffy bed and scruffy husband, mornings would've been completely intolerable for the electrokine mom-to-be. It wasn't just limited to mornings though. Not anymore. She was actually smiling, though, as she exited their master bathroom and walked cautiously back to the bed Charles was laying in, only partially awake. Zap started to laugh, then, and eased herself backwards into sitting on the edge of her side. "I think it's time to let everyone know... they're going to starting planning a shower before too long." She'd begun to show signs of pregnancy a few weeks back, physically, at least. The couple had kept the news to themselves for the summer. It wasn't ill-timed, per se, but with the arrival of Faolan and Jack back in April, and her not having known at the time that they were expecting, the baby news had been put on the back burner. They'd chosen to focus their attention on bonding with the son that was Zap's... sort of. In another place and time, she and Kiernan, or some forms of them, had a son.
That place was no longer fit for people - let alone children. So now, the whole family (including Kiernan) was making the best of the situation. And it was going pretty well, Zap thought. She smiled wider in the quiet moment, and glanced down at her puffy belly. Yeah. It was time to share their news. She sighed and laid back until her head was touching Charles' thigh, and she laid both hands easily over her middle. "Besides, Brian's going to explode if we don't let the cat out of the bag." And as much as Zap liked to present herself well and look as best as she possibly could, maternity clothes were so much more comfortable. "Do you want to tell the kids this morning?" Over the breakfast she'd inevitably cook but not eat. That thought made her smirk, and she raised a hand up to brush over wherever it landed on her husband. As if Charles could read her mind (wait!), she pondered a waffles-and-strawberries layout, then mused: "Maybe I'll dye the whipped cream pink," It was a girl, after all. Avalon. Zap buzzed with a happy current and it popped off her silk pajamas and over the frilly bedding.
