Simple Coloring Tutorial
Go from this:
to this:
in Photoshop 7. Translatable.
1. Crop your base and make your neccessary adjustments I.e: Sharpen or lighten it up if need be. etc etc.
2. Next go to Layer >> New Adjustment Layer >> Hue/Saturation.
3. Under the master settings do: +62 for saturation and +12 for Lightness.
4. Then under the red settings do: -61 for saturation. Then click okay.
5. Create a new layer and flood fill with: #06074B and set to Exclusion at 100%
6. Create another new layer and flood fill with #F5EDA8 and set to Hard Light at 11%
7. Dublicate your base, drag it to the top and desaturate it. Set this layer to Soft Light at 100%.
8. Flatten your image and your done. Easy yes?
Try taking away some of the different layers for different effects. Here are a few examples of mine:
This one is without the Hue/Saturation layer
This one is without the yellow layer.
Enjoy and I would love to see your results.
