I WARNED THE BOY!!!
Twenty minutes into their shopping expedition, the sound of screaming splits the air in the Courtyard. It's not just one voice, but several, most of them in shock and horror, some in dismay. A crowd begins to gather around one of the stalls tucked away in the far corner of the market, and Poppy runs to see what's happening.
When she arrives, an old woman with a heavily lined face shakes uncontrollably, but somehow manages to keep her grip on the person she's holding. Her eyes have rolled back in her head and she's foaming at the mouth.
"Move back! Give us some air!" Poppy yells. She reaches for her phone and dials a number. When the line is answered, she gives a quick rundown of the symptoms and a location.
Hands pry the woman away from her victim, even as she continues to scream. Her words are no longer intelligible. Poppy begins to gather her tour guests and move them away from the scene, requesting bottled water and paper towels to help soothe the attacked. When they are as settled as she can make them, she returns to the old woman who's being helped by some of the nearby vendors. Once the medic arrives, Poppy returns to her group to check on them. Those who aren't too heavily shaken are instructed to return to the tram, while she works to reassure those who've been more unnerved by the events.
