log. Robin and Spoiler Summary: [backdated sometime last year] Robin learns what it's like to be the one that's followed.
Robin. "I hate criminals," Robin deadpanned to no one in particular. He'd just finished rounding up some drug dealers, using those plastic zip ties to bind their hands and legs for the police to pick them up. He didn't have time to wait for the police, there was always something going on in Gotham, so Tim didn't have time to linger. All in a night's work for Batman's partner.
Spoiler. "You're really good." A voice says from the dark corner of the roof that Roin had just landed himself on. Little miss Stephanie Brown's black and purple Spoiler outfit makes it easy to blend into the shadows. Though if Robin had known she was there, she wouldn't have been surprised. She had been tailing him for a couple of blocks, though at a distance. By the time she got to his drug dealer take down, he was doing well enough for himself and didn't want to throw him off. "Who taught you that flip? Was it Batman, or Nightwing?" She's bets it's Nightwing.
Robin. Robin knows when he's being followed, especially Spoiler. No offense, but her skills were self-taught and pretty rough. They got the job done, just not when it came up against someone who's been put through the ringer so much like Robin. "Nightwing." With the criminals tied up, Tim walked over to a ladder to get up to the roof of the nearby building.
Spoiler. Spoiler would take none. Well, not entirely true, she'd be mad but she'd know it was true. He has Batman to train him, she had her father her was a criminal known for clues, not physical prowess. "That's what I thought. " He's the more...bouncy one out of the two. It makes sense. Spoiler perks up, he's trying to take off on her already. She takes a run at the roof, using the ledge to propel herself over. It's not as graceful a landing as Robin would make, but she clears it. She jogs the next couple of steps to catch up. "So where are we going now?"
Robin. "We're? I've got a patrol I've got to finish." Tim got distracted from what he was doing by those guys down there. It's getting late... he really should ask about getting home schooled, so he can be Robin and not have to worry about sleeping only 4 or 5 hours a night.
Spoiler. "Then I guess we should finish it up." Steph keeps in step with Robin as he makes it across the roof. She gets psyched to go out and do these things, and the whole school thing isn't as much of a problem for her. Her teachers aren't usually what anyone would call 'on the ball' or 'sober'. Not except for a few of them of course. Steph has learned to sleep in class.
Robin. "Don't think I didn't notice the we again." Tim sighs. Batman tells Tim not to directly associate with Spoiler, considering she's so undertrained and stuff. "You're going to get in trouble with Batman." Though really, it'll get both of them in trouble.
Spoiler. "Oh, wow. You noticed that? Not only are you flexible but you're quick too." Stephanie's big smirk is covered up by her mask. Which might be best because it might annoy little Robin. "What is he going to do? Glare at me?" ...That actually gets a little scary sometimes. But this wouldn't be a problem if he would just help her out.
Robin. It's true that nothing gets by him. "I don't know, I guess." Tim runs towards the edge of the building and jumps over to the next rooftop. "You know I'm not supposed to have anything to do with you." Yet here she is, again.
Spoiler. Steph takes longer to get herself across the roof, hitting the roof with the sound of gravel skidding under her. See? She did it fine. Nothing for anyone to be concerned about. "Yeah? Well I'm not suppose to be out past 11, but that doesn't stop me." That's not entirely true. Her mom never gave her a curfew. "So you just going to hop away from me?"
Robin. Robin looked back to check on her, but she seemed to be alright, so he doesn't do anything about it. "Not not really surprised by that." That she doesn't follow her mom's rules. "No, I'm not. I'm on patrol, remember?"
Spoiler. Steph grins under her mask. "So that means I can come along?" Since he didn't say she couldn't come along. Come oooooon Robin. Unbunch your tights and let her have some fun with you.
Robin. "I didn't say that." He didn't not say it either. So. He knows that him saying anything won't stop her from following him. And the only way he could get her to stop is probably to lay her out, which he wasn't going to do.
Spoiler. "You people don't really say much of anything at all do you?" Him and Batman are tight lipped. Steph grabs a hold of Robin's upper arm, pulling him a bit to face her. "You know, despite that messed up little scowl you seem to have on all the time. I bet you're really cute when you actually get around to smiling." With that distraction, Stephanie takes off over the roof, making the jump before Robin can. See? She's goooooood.
Robin. "Not really." Robin looks away from Spoiler when she says that, so maybe she won't see that she's made him blush. No doubt that'd bring her some satisfaction. When she's gone, he curses under his breath and runs to follow. "This is going to be a long night," he says as he make the jump.
