So much for having allies amongst the social throng. Talia had tensed the moment she felt someone move up behind her, and her first instinct was to turn around and break the wrist of whoever it was touching her. Luckily for all parties involved she had learned some manner of control, but she didn't relax. Quite the opposite, she stiffened, standing up straighter.
No one turned down Bruce Wayne, it seemed, and she murmured her own apologies to the couple and stepped away from Bruce's hand, but waiting for him to lead her wherever he wanted to have this conversation.
"Now, now, Mr. Wayne, you'll start rumours," she chided him, keeping her mask in place, and smiling like she wasn't expecting a publicly acceptable interrogation.
