He didn't bother trying to snatch the folder back, but did spare a few moments to pick it's contents up off the floor, shuffle them into order, and set the small stack aside.
God, he hated when people were sloppy.
"I have no idea what you're talking about. Obviously you have me confused with someone else; no one gives a damn about anything I require money for." A lie, but he thought he'd delivered it well. And honestly, he didn't really think the mob was actually interested in his research, just what sort of results he could give them. Besides, he wouldn't really count them as reliable repeat customers; there was no guarantee they'd be back.
"Get out of my chair, at least, if you won't get out of my office."
