Her eyes narrowed in response to Chuck's condescending 'cute' and it was almost reassuring when he quickly followed it up with a lecherous remark. Not that she welcomed his gross comments of course, but it would be insulting to be the only attractive woman in his periphery not subject to them. Still, she shot him a reproving look for good measure before reluctantly following his lead. She even accepted his proffered arm with an air of what she assumed was great personal dignity.
She watched the flickering lights indicating the elevator's descent impatiently. Now that Chuck had put the idea in her head, Blair wanted nothing more than to be rid of her ruined gown. She might even lower herself to borrowing one of Chuck's ridiculous robes. Anything was better than her tattered and blood-stained Waldorf Original, even looking like a female Hugh Hefner.
"Minus Dan and the whole evil hoards thing, this almost feels like old times," Blair announced brightly, delighted when the elevator doors finally slid open. She nearly tripped again, but managed to catch herself with a hand on the brightly polished handrail.
