Jenny was on the verge of calling their dad to ask if Dan had left. At this rate, the party would be more busted than it already was and everyone would be gone before her brother decided to show his face. She'd gotten herself another drink and was about to fish her phone out of her purse when she heard the doors bang open and saw her brother run in. She was standing close enough to the doors for the breeze from them flying open to flutter her dress so her attention was caught immediately, her mouth hanging open when she saw him jump up onto the table. Oh Dan, not the table cloths. Those probably cost more than their rent for a month. All around, people were taking pictures or recording his ravings but Jenny knew he wasn't just drunk or something. There had only been a few times in her life when she'd heard him sound this frightened and it wasn't something she was going to take lightly even if he sounded nuts.
Like everyone else in the room, Jenny was struck with silence when he'd finished as her brain tried to process exactly what the hell he was talking about. She didn't have time to think very long, though, because he had her elbow and was tugging her along. "Dan! Slow down!" She pleaded, attempting to keep up with him, "Five inch heels, hello?" They were going to have to come off if he was going to keep pulling her along like this. Because they still weren't very far away from the doors, the noises from outside reached her nearly at the same time they reached him. His theory was starting to sound more and more just. She didn't know if it was the fact that she could feel his pulse beating in his hand through her arm or the actual scared look on his face, but Jenny believed him. "We don't have time for Serena, come on." She tugged her arm out of his and grabbed his wrist, passing Penelope and her stupid camera phone just in time for another tell tale picture to be snapped. Great, now they were both going to have their pictures all over Gossip Girl. Rather than going through the side door or the front where he'd come in, she tugged him in the way towards the kitchen, "We can get out this way, let's get home. Call Dad, maybe he can come pick us up halfway or something."
