Draw Daphne turning into a tree, from that myth.

There's a whole awful story involved, though. You could make it better and less [...] awful.

Yeah

I should've showed you some before. I know you're into art. So reading a story told through pictures is probably awesome. But I have a lot more. I like to bring enough to last through the year.

ok. i can bring it to ebonhide, then.

yeah!! i like how much the flow and the mood and the style of the art tells the story. on a lot of the pages you don't even need the little bubbles. i haven't drawn like that before.

you really don't mind if i read them?? sorry i didn't ask first this time.

No, it's fine, Cole. Entertainment should be shared, it shouldn't be owned. We're all on our own personal journeys, and the art we encounter impacts that. You can read whatever one you want, whenever you want. I can let you borrow some over spring break, if you really want to try your making your own?

If it helps though, it might be easier to first take a book that already exists and draw a comic based on that, instead of trying to come up with a story yourself. You can draw about frankenstein or the American revolution, or literally anything that's been turned into a story. A lot of comics already do that. Captain America was originally based on America's conflict with Nazi Germany. It was meant to be American propaganda.

[...] do you want me to just leave it in the lodge, then??

i can't come up with a story. i was hoping someone had one i could adapt for them?? it doesn't look like it, though.

Are you done with it? You can totally keep it until you're done, Cole. I don't mind.

I have lots of stories. I read a lot. I know a lot. It depends on what you want to draw. Do you want to draw defining acts of heroism, or do you want to draw supernatural occurrences or horror stories?

Like the Captain America one?

Because, if you want, I've got a whole trunk full of comic books. You can totally borrow some?
