I would like to investigate further on Patronus forms and totemic theory, I believe. My additional readings have led me [. . .] astray.

[Ebonhide Junior Girls]

I must ask you a very strange question.

[. . .]Are any of you frightened of snakes?

I certainly did not intend to, it just happened.

It's all horribly embarrassing and that rude g I do not know her name girl had to be terribly unsubtle about it and mention it and in no way did I think it would actually work, it hasn't worked all year, and it's all very unpleasant.

It's strange to imagine Daddy afraid of anything, but he does not like them.

I'm sorry hun. I think it's pretty awesome, though. I mean look at what I found in a book

"The snake animal meaning is powerfully connected to life force and primal energy. In many cultures, it is revered as a powerful totem representing the source of life. When the snake spirit animal appears in your life, it likely means that healing opportunities, change, important transitions, and increased energy are manifesting."

Powerful, life force, primal energy. That's you!

Cobras are can coil their tail around whatever they choose. The snake appears from its position which has been linked to eternity. This is the belief of the ancient India. This appears that those with this symbol are people mostly fond of hiding their potentials and abilities. They prefer that others will not know their real self, exhibiting all their gifts and talents.

The cobra is a very strange symbol. In eastern tradition they are seen as royal protectors and sacred while western tradition would have them be evil and representing temptation. Especially back home, snakes are [. . .] not seen as a very pleasant creature.

Someone screamed in the library at me, and that girl had to go talk about me like I was a disgrace. It's most unpleasant.

Oh no, my casting is quite successful. I am just vexed perturbed thinking of how such a strong protection charm as it is claimed to be can change forms over time as well as with significant life events.

The patronus charm is all about feeling, though, isn't it? It makes sense that you might project what you feel is an ideal form at a given point in time. I am not much for Transfigurations, but it's a much more concrete field. So it follows that an Animagus form would be less tied to one's emotions and more reflective of their core.

I suppose I should not be surprised. Most of my study material is of British publication. What do we know of true feeling. Or something my brother would say.

I have said too m Have I

It is no matter. Merely something to ponder from a purely theoretical point of view, which I do enjoy debating. Perhaps the widely-held idea of Patronus forms is something to change. If anything, it will prove useful for my senior project should I decide to go that route.

As much as I would love for you to think so, I'm afraid I'm no expert on Dark Arts Defense theory. In this instance, it may be best to defer to those books.

It sounds like you have quite the project planned. If you don't mind my asking, what is it?

The Hogwarts curriculum is entirely too dependent on theory. That is understandable.

I honestly had not thought about it now, but I was considering a historical study of animal symbolism in our oldest and most potent spells.

Better safe than sorry when it comes to the Dark Arts. I'm afraid I can't fault them too much for their caution.

That will be quite a delve into the history books, but a very interesting topic.

Nothing in this world is arbitrary, after all. And there are many interpretations throughout the cultures of the world. That is where the study of the symbolism itself takes place.
